PROPOSAL

Research Proposal
April 14, 2013

I completed a research proposal for ETEC 500: Research Methodologies in Education. It took some fourteen drafts to develop a solid proposal that laid out a workable approach to implementing and conducting field research on mPortfolios.

I have reproduced my original post from April 13th. It accompanied the penultimate draft of my research proposal.

Final Research Proposal (Well…almost!) Posted on March 29, 2013 by Donald Adams

This is the thirteenth draft of my research proposal and the one I submitted for ETEC 500. A considerable amount of work is reflected in this document and I am heavily indebted to my wife, Lucy, for her tireless support, well honed critique, and skills in proofreading. The quality of this proposal also rests on the approach to action research described by Joyce Pittman and Stephanie McKissic from Drexel University (Virginia) at the SITE Conference I attended. Their approach helped me define my own and transformed my personal interest into a study of change and the adoption of technology.

I am waiting for my instructor to return this assignment so I can revise it and then submit it to UBC and the Greater Victoria School District for approval. I hope to run my project during the 2013/2014 school year. Please stay tuned…
