A Sample mPortfolio
November 2012 to March 2013

I developed and field tested a sample mPortfolio using Pathbrite. I developed it with a student and shared it with his parents, my school administrator and the associate superintendent for schools. The project was well received. In addition to the benefits noted in my research paper (the next stop on this line), the students parents reported a couple I had not considered. They noticed not only how their child was doing but how I helped him when he had difficulty. They felt this was a valuable resource to helping him at home. They were also enthusiastic about sharing the mPortfolio; the student wanted to share it with everyone and it was the focus of discussion for more than a week. The did mention one problem with mPortfolios… they had shared it with the parents of other students in the class and everyone wanted one for their child!
