Enabling javascript

INTERNET EXPLORER (WINDOWS)

  1. Select the Tools menu.
  2. Select Internet Options.
  3. Select the Security tab.
  4. Click Custom Level.
  5. Scroll down and change the Active Scripting setting.
  6. Confirm the change.
  7. Close Internet Options.
  8. JavaScript is now enabled

SAFARI (MACINTOSH)

  1. Open Safari and click on the Safari menu and go down to Preferences.
  2. Click on the Security tab.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is ticked.
  4. Click on the Privacy tab.
  5. Make sure the Block all cookies checkbox is unselected.
  6. Click the Close button at the top of the window.
  7. JavaScript is now enabled

CHROME (WINDOWS)

  1. Click the Customize and control Google Chrome menu (the three horizontal bars in the upper right corner)
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Click the Show advanced settings… at the bottom.
  4. Under Privacy, click the Content Settings button.
  5. In the Javascript section, select Allow all sites to run JavaScript.
  6. Close the window
  7. JavaScript is now enabled

CHROME (MACINTOSH)

  1. Go the the Chrome menu and select Preferences.
  2. Select the tab Under the Hood.
  3. Under Privacy, click the Content Settings button.
  4. Under Privacy, click the Content Settings button.
  5. In the Javascript section, select Allow all sites to run JavaScript.
  6. Close the window
  7. JavaScript is now enabled

FIREFOX (WINDOWS 10)

  1. Click in the URL Address Bar.
  2. Enter about:config.
  3. Press Enter.
  4. On the next dialog click I’ll be careful, I promise!
  5. Find the preference named javascript.enabled.
  6. Right click on javascript.enabled and select Toggle.
  7. Close the about:config tab.
  8. JavaScript is now enabled

FIREFOX (WINDOWS 8)

  1. Click the Tools dropdown menu in the left hand corner of the window.
  2. Select Options.
  3. Click Enable JavaScript.
  4. Close the window.
  5. JavaScript is now enabled

FIREFOX (MACINTOSH)

  1. Select Tools menu.
  2. Select Add-ons. If the menu bar is hidden, press Alt to make it visible.
  3. In the Add-ons Manager tab, on the left select Plugins.
  4. Select Java(™) Platform and then click Enable.
  5. Close the window.
  6. JavaScript is now enabled

OPERA

    Open Opera

  1. Click on the Opera Button at the top-left of the app window
  2. Click on the Settings menu item
  3. Click on the Websites item on the left window pane
  4. Under the JavaScript heading, you will see two options:
  5. To enable JavaScript: select the Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended) option
  6. To disable JavaScript: select the Do not allow any site to run JavaScript option
  7. You can also make exception rules, for instance:
  8. If you allow all sites to run JavaScript, you can make an exception to disallow badsite.com
  9. If you disallow all sites from running JavaScript, you can make an exception to allow goodsite.com
  10. When finished selecting your options, close the Settings window and restart Opera
  11. Visit: whatismyipaddress.ricmedia.com to confirm your current JavaScript status
