National Museum of Natural History`s Arctic Studies Centre showcased an interactive exhibit featuring the Indigenous AINU people of Japan in 1999-2000.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>Visitors to this site are able to virtually travel from one room to the next discovering the historical and modern culture of the AINU people.<span>\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Not unlike many of the sites visited through the course of compiling this weblog, the AINU site uses interactive technologies in an engaging and accessible manner in promoting AINU culture.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: auto 0cm\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\" lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri\">Something which I found particularly noteworthy is how the creators of this site provide historical AINU information as well as connecting the evolution and resurgence of AINU culture.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>As we have learned over the past months in ETEC 521 one of the main goals for all Indigenous peoples is the recognition of their culture as a \u201cliving culture\u201d not something which is purely to be read about in some Western created textbook.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: auto 0cm\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: auto 0cm\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\" lang=\"EN-US\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.northernlinks.org\/\"><img engage Northern Aboriginal communities in healthier culturally connected life choices.<span>\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Through their \u201csearchable online database community leaders are able to find a wide variety of programming information \u2013 policies, forms, program models and information, action kits, research and more\u201d (Northern Links, 2008).<\/span><span style=\"color: #093380;font-family: &quot;Book Antiqua&quot;,&quot;serif&amp;quot\"><span>\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: auto 0cm\"><span>The Northern Links database is an excellent tool to gain some insight into successful cultural programs that have been implemented in Northern Aboriginal communities.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>This website also provides a listserv to act as a bridge between individuals or groups who are wishing to share their stories as a means to promote community success stories. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" Indigenous knowledge and worldviews through information, communication, technologies (ICTs). <span>\u00a0<\/span>Invert\u2019s model is to provide a holistic product that incorporates a Pacific Worlds\u2019 authors recognized that there was a need to utilize technology as a resource to \u201cmake cultural education and preservation more effective, and show the relevance of modern technologies to traditional ways, thereby hopefully inspiring young Native people to take interest in both\u201d (Pacific Worlds, 2008).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: auto 0cm\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\" lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri\">In order to make the resources more accessible on this site the authors have provided a brief tutorial on how to best navigate through its curriculum.<span>\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: auto 0cm\">\u00a0<span href=\"http:\/\/www.pacificworlds.com\/palau\/index.cfm\">Palau<\/a>, <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;font-family: 'Calibri','sans-serif'\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pacificworlds.com\/cnmi\/index.cfm\">Northern Mariana Islands<\/a>, and the <span class=\"head1\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri','sans-serif'\"><a
