Or rather our new portable audio laboratory (PAL). Whatever you want to call it, this little box, built by Tivoli Audio, is a vast improvement over the tinny computer speakers and too quiet laptop speakers most of us get stuck using for presentations. Even Cory Doctorow at Boing Boing thinks its amazing (which reminds of a T-shirt Learning Centre buddy Dory Kornfeld designed a couple of years back.)
It’s clear that, with more people using audio in dynamic ways (cough*podcasting*cough), having decent ways of presenting that audio is crucial. That’s what makes something with the fidelity and beautiful design of the PAL so exciting.
