Traditional:<\/strong> recognizes lands traditionally used and\/or occupied by First Nations. The work carried out in EaSEIL has taken place on the traditional<\/strong>, ancestral<\/strong>, and unceded<\/strong> territory of the x\u02b7m\u0259\u03b8k\u02b7\u0259y\u0313\u0259m <\/em>(Musqueam) at the University of British Columbia Point Grey campus in what today is called Vancouver, Canada. We acknowledge the connection that Musqueam have had over time with the lands and waters throughout their territory as essential to their culture, knowledges, ways of being and practices, as well as a source for teaching and learning. Through EaSEIL\u2019s work we hope that current and next generations of earth science educators, learners and professionals think deeply about their role in relation to Indigenous communities and priorities. EaSEIL works with faculty who teach on the Land, some of whom teach courses at science field stations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n These stations include the UBC Teck Geological Field Station<\/span><\/mark><\/a>1<\/sup> near Oliver, BC and the Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre Station<\/span><\/mark><\/a>2<\/sup> on Vancouver Island.
