This is my second course in MET. I finally completed my Adult Education Diploma over the summer and had a little breather and now back at it with this online course. I’m originally from Vancouver but moved to Halifax two years ago and enjoying the slower paced life. I recently started working for the government training, developing curriculum and assessing the new Electronic Medical Records project and enjoying the new challenge.

I am saying hello from the “Pearl of the Sunshine Coast”, Powell River, BC. I’ve been teaching here for about 2 years but I’m originally from Victoria, BC. I attended UVic, getting my BA and BEd before working in Aboriginal Law for a year. I then moved to Australia where I taught for a year. When I came back to Canada I moved up the coast, where I’ve been ever since. This is my first MET course and I’m looking forward to trying this way of learning. I have a grade 5/6 class almost full time and also have a position as the Learning Assistance teacher at the same school.

I grew up in Ottawa and completed a BA and BEd at UO. This is my first ETEC course! Two years ago, I moved to Ste. Rose du Lac, Manitoba, where I teach grades 4 to 8 Math, Science and Social Studies at a Francophone school. I also work part-time as a Logistics Officer with the Canadian Forces. Living in rural Manitoba has been a big change from life in the capital, but I have come to love the peacefulness and sense of community! I moved here with my husband, and we just had our first child, James!!
