We have 3 Readings in the morning. The first with Paulo Freire. The other two Readings relate specifically to the Case, <em>Palestine,<\/em> and Hanan Al Hroub, a former Palestinian refugee, and teacher who won &#8220;The Global Teacher Prize 2016.&#8221; This is the biggest award for a teacher in the world. We will read (or listen to) her speech and interview at Harvard Graduate School of Education, USA. I have included websites to learn more about the context of her teaching. Your own experiences, the Case, and Readings will provide you with perspectives to consider: &#8220;How might teachers contribute to students thinking about peace and hope?&#8221; Contact your UBC Assistants on WhatsApp or Facebook when ready to begin. For the post, an extra Credit 5 points will be given to each person who participated in the Dialogue.
