I chose to define the term credit default swap for this assignment. The definition includes an introduction that provides a high level description of the purpose of this assignment, a parenthetical definition, a sentence definition, an expanded definition, and some history about the 2008 financial crisis. The purpose of this assignment is to understand different approaches of defining a term and the application of the different approaches.
This is my for report proposal about how to improve the user experience of the risk solution provide by my company (Markit Analytics). The report analyzes the current strengths and weakness from the product design, documentation, pricing and marketing strategies perspectives, and proposes improvement solutions on these areas. The proposal demonstrates my ability of transforming my understandings and ideas about the software to a formal report proposal that effectively communicates the suggestions to senior management.
The complaint letter was written for a hypothetical situation about a laptop computer I purchased and not satisfied with. This assignment taught us about how to write an email message when you are clearly upset, and how to present your complain in a respectable way. This is an application of writing with “you attitude” we learned earlier to phrase the message considering the feeling of the audience so that the point is communicated effectively.
Peer Review of LinkedIn Profile
The purpose of this assignment was to practice designing a review template for a LinkedIn profile and to use the template to review a peer’s LinkedIn profile. I created a template with a summary that analyzes the LinkedIn profile based on different sections such as professional and volunteer experience and skills. Under each category, I included essential features of a resume/LinkedIn profile and based my reviews on them.
