After struggling to find my footing, as noted in my January 27 reflection, I received feedback that my Flight Plan was perhaps clearer than I thought it was: Two clear objectives, mLearning and military/training contexts; with instructions to carry on. I’m glad my interests shone through – I think in the process of developing my original flight path I spread my interests too wide. This may be noticed in my suggested reading list. After continuing engagement with my classmates and professor, I am feeling less overwhelmed at the course – when really, it was a situation of my own making. As I sift through my readings as well as consider the process and valued ends of the ETEC565A course, my frame of mind is in the process of reshaping. For example, a friendly reminder that it is not necessary to create a full-scale Moodle course relieved some tension I was carrying in my shoulders.
Getting well into the swing of the academic term, I have been reviewing more deeply literature on mLearning. I have been reviewing work of the inaugural ETEC565M course, as well as following recent developments through my mLearning+security+defence related RSS feed. I’ve found a scalable theme in the Moodle LMS which should be interesting to experiment with, as well as reviewing selected readings on best practices of mLearning with Moodle. In terms of the present blog, I am pretty satisfied with how the mobile-responsive theme displays on the different mobile devices and operating systems I have tried so far.
Sounds like things are evolving rather nicely for you!
