{"id":1,"date":"2010-12-16T00:45:35","date_gmt":"2010-12-16T00:45:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/ementoring\/?p=1"},"modified":"2010-12-15T16:54:06","modified_gmt":"2010-12-16T00:54:06","slug":"hello-world","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/ementoring\/2010\/12\/16\/hello-world\/","title":{"rendered":"Welcome"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to the eMentoring Project!<\/p>\n<p>The aim of this project <a href=\"http:\/\/www.doowikis.com\/uploads\/eMentoring Project Summary.pdf\"> <\/a>is to encourage Aboriginal students to first <strong>stay in school<\/strong> and\u00a0hopefully\u00a0choose a <strong>career in health<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0We need more Aboriginal doctors, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, social workers and more.\u00a0 But first, our Aboriginal students need to graduate high school, with a belief that they can and will go on to university.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Using a proven, online mentoring program developed in New York City, this project will be transforming\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.icouldbe.org\/\">icouldbe.org<\/a> to suit the needs of Aboriginal youth in BC.\u00a0 As we are also researchers, we want to learn from this project every step of the way.\u00a0 We will be documenting the process of setting up this program as well as the impact it has on youth.<\/p>\n<p>Keep visiting for more updates!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to the eMentoring Project!
