I am a third generation settler, born and raised in Vancouver on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations. As I continue to live and study here, I do my best to learn about the role of archives in upholding the colonial state, but also seek out their potential to dismantle, disrupt, educate, and empower individuals and communities.
