Photograph by Emma Metcalfe Hurst.<\/p><\/div>\n<h3>2015-2016 &#8211; Curatorial Assistant, Access Gallery<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Worked closely with Kimberly Phillips, former Director\/Curator at Access Gallery to develop and execute curatorial projects, public programming, publications, and Access Gallery\u2019s inaugural travelling artist residency <em>T\u200bwenty-Three\u200b D\u200bays at Sea,\u00a0<\/em>on a container\/cargo ship.<\/li>\n<li>Hosted exhibition tours and assisted with more than 8 public events.<\/li>\n<li>Conducted studio visits with artists.<\/li>\n<li>Assisted with grant writing, reports, and budget management.<\/li>\n<li>Performed daily administration and docent tasks including: opening\/closing gallery, email correspondence, greeting visitors, conducting sales of gallery merchandise.<\/li>\n<li>Installed 5 exhibitions.<\/li>\n<li>Generated promotional materials and managed gallery social media platforms.<\/li>\n<li>Managed gallery website and content. Assisted with the development of a new gallery website.<\/li>\n<li>Supervised gallery interns and developed work plans and projects.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinated Access Gallery\u2019s <em>2015 Lottery Calendar Fundraiser<\/em> and fundraiser event<em>\u00a0\u200bA Vibrant Assemblage<\/em>,\u200b which included more than 50 artists.<\/li>\n<li>Assisted with administration, development, production, and launch of \u200b<em>Twenty-Three Days at Sea\u200b<\/em> Kickstarter fundraiser campaign\u200b which raised over $12,700.<\/li>\n<li>Performed coordination for\u200b <em>Twenty-Three Days at Sea<\/em> \u200bartist residency open call which received over 1000 applications, internationally. Participated on the Artist Residency Selection Committee for the inaugural year.<\/li>\n<li>Developed professional relationships with local\/emerging artists, gallery board, students, gallery supporters, and<br \/>\nfunders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>2014 &#8211; Archives Intern, Access Gallery<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Researched local artist-run-centre archives practices.<\/li>\n<li>Developed workflows and spreadsheets for managing gallery records, as well as a descriptive template for Access Gallery\u2019s archives.<\/li>\n<li>Organized and catalogued Access Gallery\u2019s physical administrative and exhibition records from 1991-2014,<br \/>\nincluding: publications, printed matter, realia, and exhibition documentation (slides, printed photos, digital files).<\/li>\n<li>Labeled and transferred 25 binders of archival materials into proper archival-grade storage for preservation and<br \/>\naccess.<\/li>\n<li>Digitized textual documents and slide negatives and uploaded to the gallery&#8217;s website.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2015-2016 &#8211; Curatorial Assistant, Access Gallery Worked closely with Kimberly Phillips, former Director\/Curator at Access Gallery to develop and execute curatorial projects, public programming, publications, and Access Gallery\u2019s inaugural travelling artist residency T\u200bwenty-Three\u200b D\u200bays at Sea,\u00a0on a container\/cargo ship.
