Welcome

“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what

makes you come alive.  And then go and do that. Because what

the world needs is people who have come alive.”

Howard Thurman

When I was thirteen I worked at my local community center leading a homework club after school. It was here that I first came to love sharing the learning process with others. From this early age I was energized by the process of working together towards learning, and seeing the faces of my students light up as understanding dawned.

The wilderness, art, and community have always been central to my life. I have developed specific areas of interest in rock climbing, yoga, visual arts, community building, and lifelong personal and professional development.

Children are my greatest teachers, as they continuously inspire me and show me new ways of seeing the world. Their genuine creativity, expression, playfulness, and wonder remind me to appreciate each moment and all that it holds.

I see learning and sharing as foundational to life, and I can think of nothing more powerful than joining with others to support the sharing of knowledge, skills, ideas, and ways of being in the world.
