(Chapman, p. 672)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hard Skills<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 specific, teachable abilities that can be defined and measured. Examples of hard skills include job skills like typing, writing, math, reading and the ability to use software programs. (Chapman, p. 672)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Scenario-Based Learning<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0uses interactive scenarios to support active learning strategies such as problem-based\u00a0or case-based learning. It normally involves students working their way through a storyline, usually based around an\u00a0ill-structured or complex problem, which they are required to solve. In the process students must apply their subject\u00a0knowledge, and critical thinking and problem solving skills in a safe, real-world context. (Chee, 2013, p. 17)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tools<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 technology based learning software available, ie. websites, apps, games, software, programs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Groupware<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0an application software designed to help people involved in a common task to achieve goals. (Chapman, p. 673)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pre-Service<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 the education and training provided to teachers before they have undertaken any teaching. (Hakverdi, 2013)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inquiry-Based Learning<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211;<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>a complex process where students formulate questions, investigate to find answers, build new understandings, meanings and knowledge, and then communicate their learning\u2019s to others. (Hakverdi, 2012, p. 338)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Citizenship Education<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0enabling people to make their own decisions and to take responsibility for their own lives and their communities. (Baek, 2013) (Chee, 2013, p. 17)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Game-Based Learning<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0(GBL) is a type of game play that has defined learning outcomes. Generally, game based learning is designed to balance subject matter with gameplay and the ability of the player to retain and apply said subject matter to the real world. (Chee, 2013, p. 16)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dialogic Pedagogy<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 instructional conversation (Chee, 2013)<\/p>\n<p><strong>New Media<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0means of mass communication using digital technologies such as the Internet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ICT<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 information and communication technologies and are\u00a0defined, as a \u201cdiverse set of technological tools and resources used to communicate, and to create, disseminate, store, and manage information.\u201d (Cubukcuoglu, 52)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Soft Skills\u00a0\u2013\u00a0cluster of personality traits, social graces, communication, language, personal habits, friendliness, and optimism that characterize relationships with other people.
