Editing out the imperative verbs

Avoiding Imperative verbs is helpful for creating a document that places the reader first. While imperative verbs have their place in many types of writing, in professional and technical writing imperative verbs are best avoided or used for special emphasis.

Replacing imperative verbs with ‘ing’ verbs

REWRITE:

1. Writing an intriguing and unique headline that provides a quick summary with relevant keywords will entice readers and express your personality.
2. Including relevant workplace information with a focus on experiences that portray your professional credentials in a positive manner will impress your reader
3. Including applicable skills and certifications that showcase your abilities and accomplishments will captivate your targeted audience.
