Hello Jessica,

Thank you for submitting your LinkedIn profile to be peer reviewed. This is a very impressive profile. It looks organized, complete, and professional.

First Impressions

First impressions of the profile were very impressive. Lots of solid connections which indicates a solid group and presence on LinkedIn. Experience, volunteer, and education sections were all very flushed out. The “about you” section seems a little short. It would be nice to have a brief summary of all the positions held in the about section as well as some other interests you might have.

Appropriateness of Profile Photo

The photo emulates a personal yet professional picture.

Effectiveness of Title

Title is appropriate for field and will attract employers within the marketing industry.

Effectiveness of About / Summary

As mentioned above, this section seems a little sparse. The summary is one of the main things employers scan over before they consider if your entire profile is worth looking at.  It is often a good idea to write some personal goals, motives, skills, or qualities that might make you stand out in the crowd. Some ideas you could explore are:

  1. What drives your passion for marketing?
  2. What is your marketing approach?

Work and Volunteer Experience

The experience is very detailed and the use of action words and actual numbers shows professionalism and proves your skills to recruiters. The bullet point system could also be utilized in the volunteer experience section to increase readability.

Education and Courses

Listing all the groups and clubs you were a part of is impressive and will definitely attract recruiters. However, only listing the courses that are relevant to your target industry will make your profile more concise and readable.

Skills

Skills list is extensive and keywords chosen provide a good picture of what you are capable of doing

Accomplishments

It is good to have languages as an accomplishment, but it would be a good idea to specify what “Chinese” you are referring to. For example, Cantonese and Mandarin are both Chinese languages but are mutually intelligible.

Nice to see the little paragraph explaining what 30MINS for Youth was. It would be nice to have that for the Google Analytics course you took, for people who do not know what that program teaches.

Grammar and Punctuation

There are no issues with grammar and punctuation. Everything looks good!

Conclusion

Your LinkedIn profile looks expertly made and portrays a person who is professional and skilled and experienced. There are only a few suggestions I would suggest to improve your profile.

  • Adopt the same point form layout as your work experience section in your volunteer experience
  • Expand your “About” section
  • List only the courses relevant to your field
  • Specify what Chinese language you are referring to

This has been a very insightful read for me, and I hope my suggestions are helpful. Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Phoebe
