Peer Review: Assignment 3.1 -Writing with “you” attitude – Memo to Evan Crisp

Thank you for submitting your memo assignment for lesson 3.1, this is an informative read.  Please see the review of the document below with suggestions for improvements, which you might find useful.

First Impressions:

This looks like an impressive memo and the introduction highlights the main idea ie: sharing advice for improving the communication methods with the ENGL professor, in order to gain a reply.

Organization:

The organization of the memo is clear and concise. The use of bullet points lends to highlighting the major parts of email communication, namely the heading, greeting, body, and closing. The bullet points also make the memo easy to read and grasp.

The fact that parts of the original email are quoted, in order to emphasize a point is very well done.

A small suggestion that would better the memo would be to include some contact information, after the line, “if you have any further questions, please let me know.”  where you can be reached.

Moreover, another piece of advice that could’ve been included in the memo would be to have used a professional email address when communicating with academic/authoritative persons.

 Concluding Comments:

Your memo is interesting to read, informative, and well organized, thank you. With the above-mentioned edits, this will be a really useful and well-rounded document.

Thank you and please feel free to ask any questions, it has been a pleasure reviewing this work.
