Phoebe Wu | Assignment 3:1 Business Letters

Letter 1: Complaint Letter

Dear Customer Service at PuzzleLand:

On November 23rd, 2020, during your Black Friday sale, I purchased the Starry Night puzzle from your online store for $15.99 (Order Number: 38201). When I received my package in the mail today, I came to find out that the package contained a completely different puzzle from what I had initially ordered. This comes at a great inconvenience to me as I had planned to build the puzzle with my friend this weekend. I would repurchase the Starry Night puzzle, but the price on your website has reverted back to the original price of $25.99. As this was a mistake in shipping, I do not want to pay ten extra dollars when I could have gotten the puzzle for ten dollars cheaper. Would your company be willing to sell me the Starry Night puzzle at $15.99, the price I would have purchased the puzzle at if I had not been sent the incorrect design?

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Phoebe Wu

Regarding your order # 38201, we are sorry that you received the incorrect item and for any inconvenience this has caused you. Unfortunately, the Starry Night puzzle has been discontinued and is no longer in stock, therefore, we cannot sell you the item at the discounted price. Alternatively, $10 in store credit has been credited to your account in which you can use towards any of our other regular priced items. We hope you browse our website and find something you enjoy. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
