Elements of the Proposal

Introduction:

• Provides a clear introduction, with regards to why Tim Hortons is popular for UBC students and how there might be issues in the future

Statement of Problem:

• The problem is clearly defined and stated
• The reasoning behind these problems are valid and understandable
• (Side note) I experience this problem often on campus, so I love how you are writing about it!

Proposed Solution:

• The proposed solutions are achievable and can definitely make a positive impact on the problem
• Potentially speaking on each idea and how it would impact the problem in its own way would be a bonus

Scope:

• Questions address and can answer the questions she is wanting to answer with her proposal 
• The last question can dive deeper, into ideas such as profits and losses with the proposed solution

Methods:

• Proposed methods such as observation and surveys are both valid
• Talking to the director of Food Services at UBC sounds like a great idea!

Qualifications:

• The qualifications stated are valid, as she has experience with this problem and has used a solution to it in her past degree.

Conclusion:

• Good closing, as the writer restates the problem and solution to the reader
• Could add a bit more detail, in regards to closing out the summary
