Subject: 10 Best Practices for Professional Networking on LinkedIn
LinkedIn is a worldwide practical job search platform popular. Here are ten best practices I found:
- Reaching out to alumni on LinkedIn is a good start for expanding social networks. (McCabe 89)
- Job seekers can investigate the company before applying using LinkedIn. (McCabe 89)
- Combining social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter will increase the chance of being found by an employer. (McCabe 90)
- LinkedIn’s discussion groups can help expand communication and draw efficient enterprise responses. (Smith in Ventola 17)
- Safety and ethical issues are highly recommended to be considered before starting any social media activities. (McCabe 96)
- Having an eye-catching profile will enhance the possibility of finding a job. (McCabe 97)
- LinkedIn learning center is a good feature to learn more about job hunting and related materials for free. (Askanase in Ventola 17)
- Updating user information regularly, preferably with accomplishments, milestones, and achievements is a good way to draw the attention of employers and common interests. (Gerard 895)
- Responding to received messages on time and using polite and professional language help to develop a healthy social network. (Dodaro)
- Sending a short thank you/welcome message after your connection request is accepted is highly recommended. (Dodaro)
In conclusion, through the above methods, I believe we can expand the communication network and increase the chances of finding a job. I hope you find them useful. If you have any comments about these, please feel free to contact me.
