Subject: 10 Best LinkedIn Networking Practices
Good evening, Team,
I’ve completed some research on the topic of LinkedIn networking and using LinkedIn effectively as a professional. Below are the top ten tips from this research:
- Make sure that your profile contains all of your relevant information and qualifications before networking (Chauhan)
- Get a professional headshot for your profile (Dodaro)
- Request endorsements from former colleagues to validate your character and serve as a reference (Borsellino)
- Seek out others to endorse as a way to encourage receiving your own endorsements
- Create a summary that highlights achievements and qualifications that are most desirable for roles you’re interested in (Chauhan)
- Publish long-form content as a way to start conversation (Borsellino)
- Join industry-specific networking groups (Chauhan)
- Send a friendly welcome message once a connection is accepted (Dodaro)
- Share relevant and unique content on your LinkedIn feed (Borsellino)
- Be willing to support your connections by introducing them to each other (Dodaro)
These tips should support effective networking on LinkedIn by increasing the quality and quantity of connections. I hope that this list is useful and effective.
Regards,
Ben
