LinkedIn is the world’s biggest professional networking website. As stated in the 2:2 Assignment section, the purpose of this assignment is to determine the ten best practices when using LinkedIn. Below are some of the tips that will improve your experience when using LinkedIn.

1. Choosing the right profile picture for your LinkedIn account. (Deehan)
2. Do not leave out the basics. Make sure all the sections in you profile is complete and correct. (Lang)
3. Having a good summary – turn the summary into your story. (Deehan)
4. Share Video and Visual Content. Posts on LinkedIn receives more views with images and visuals. (Fields)
5. Add comments to your shared content. Well expressed comments also enable you to share a broader range of content and lures people to comment about your shared content. (Deehan)
6. Optimize your profile. Key words about you should be complete and easy for people to locate. (Lang)
7. Tag influencers and employees. They will get notified about the mention/tag and notice. However, be strategic about who you mention. (Fields)
8. See who’s viewed your profile. Reach out to people who have shown interest in you. (Dodaro)
9. Post industry trends, how-tos, and thought-leadership content. (Lua)
10. Be active. You must stay active on LinkedIn to be able to interact with your connections regularly. (Dodaro)
