Subject: Progress Report for Determining the Feasibility of Fully-Remote Work Model

Audience

The audience for my report will be my manager, John Henry, of Jasper. He runs the operations and has the decision making power to change the working model of the company.

Purpose of the Report

This report aims to determine the feasibility of a fully-remote work model.

Significance of the Report

This report will identify and display the significance of a fully-remote work model on a company and its employees. By having a fully-remote work model, individuals are able to reap the benefits such as greater productivity and job satisfaction.

Research Plan

I have identified five tasks I need to complete during my research:

  • Create survey questions and send out survey to individuals of the workforce in Vancouver
  • Research and display examples for the problem (physical/mental effects on employee, economic impact on company, environmental impact)
  • Conduct secondary research on the feasibility and effectiveness of a fully-remote work model
  • Analyze the data collected from the survey
  • Further analyze the benefits of the other option, hybrid/in-person work model

Writing Schedule

  • Feb 28-Mar 6 – Conduct surveys
  • March 7 – Conduct secondary research
  • March 16 – Submit formal report draft
  • March 26 – Submit formal report
