Subject: Elevator Equipment Failure
To Whom It May Concern:
I have been a regular customer at the Victoria Uptown Walmart location for over a decade, and I generally find the store to be well-run. However, this week I had an issue that was very difficult for me.
On Thursday, March 3, 2022, I visited the Uptown Walmart store. The elevator and the cart carriage were both out of operation. I had to carry several heavy bags down the stairs to my car in the parking garage while trying to hold on to my small son.
As a regular Walmart customer, I have noticed that this type of equipment failure is a very common occurrence at this location, and this recurrent problem is starting to make me feel like I might have problems when I do a large shopping trip again in future.
I want Walmart to install a second elevator and cart carriage and I would like a $100 gift certificate for my trouble.

We are sorry to hear of the inconvenient experience you had at our Uptown location on March 3. Thank you for bringing our attention to this important issue. This equipment handles a lot of traffic, and we understand it is frustrating when it is shut down for maintenance and repair.
I have enclosed a $25 gift card in appreciation of your understanding. As always, please feel free to request assistance from the Walmart staff at any time carrying your items to your car. This can be arranged by speaking to the Customer Service desk representatives.
Unfortunately, due to the constraints of the Uptown building size, we are unable to add any extra equipment at this time, but your suggestions have been noted by management for future possibilities.
You may be pleased to know that our Hillside location will be opening in Victoria in Spring 2022 and will have simpler parking access and several Family Parking Spaces near the main entrance.
