Here is my report, Feasibility Analysis of Transitioning Biology Lab Courses to an Ungraded Approach at UBC. Through the process of writing this report, I have learned a considerable amount about the graded and ungraded learning approaches. I believe my report will aid instructors and other students in the UBC biology program. Thank you for your support and encouragement throughout this process.
Although there are numerous considerations to be taken into account when designing and implementing a new learning model for courses at a university, I believe this report offers recommendations that will ensure a smooth transition. Biology lab instructor and students opinions, along with an accompanying literature review, communicate the need for further incorporation of the ungraded approach at UBC. I believe implementation of the recommendations provided will be beneficial for the instructor teaching experience, the student learning experience, and the quality of education in UBC’s biology program.
