Intended Audience
Dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, sterilization technicians, office managers, and receptionists of a dental office in downtown Calgary Alberta.
Purpose and Significance of Report
The purpose of this report is to identify why dental office personnel report high incidences of musculoskeletal disorders, examine the causal relationships of injuries and determine feasible prevention strategies for workers such as the adoption of postural awareness techniques.

Research Plan
To assess feasibility in adoption of postural awareness techniques to minimize injuries to dental office clinicians I plan to:
- Determine the most common injuries to clinicians
- Assess injury prevention strategies currently in place
- Establish cost feasibility of incorporating postural awareness techniques including clinician training, equipment repairs or replace for ergonomic standards
- Observe for ergonomically positioned of clinician chairs and tools used to assist proper bodily positioning, take photos of individual positioning
- Survey a dental office in downtown Calgary Alberta for clinician input on associated injuries
- Interview dental office clinicians for any history of any injuries resulting in missed work or early exist from trained position
- Assess collected primary data synthesis
