Subject: 301 Progress Report on Determining the Feasibility of Implementing a Website for Piquant Gourmet Specialties
As per the requirements of lesson 2:3, this memo details my progress on the English 301 Formal Report.
Audience:
The formal report will be addressed to David Narod, the owner of Piquant Gourmet Foods.
Purpose and Significance of Report:
This report will provide recommendations on the feasibility and benefits of creating a website for Piquant. David can use these findings and decide whether to develop a website for Piquant.
Methods:
As a primary source of data, an online survey will be given to the public to gauge the importance of business websites:

After analyzing the data gathered from this survey, the final results will be presented to David. Following the survey and data analysis, David will be interviewed in-person with the questions attached below:
The secondary sources for this study will be gathered from online sources to determine the costs and benefits for small business websites.
Research Plan:
To determine if a website will be profitable and beneficial for piquant, I will:
- Perform a background investigation to determine website benefits
- Survey the customers to gauge the prospective market
- Compile survey data
- Present preliminary findings to David
- Interview David with consultation questions
- Perform an in depth online research based on interview with David
- Explore professional web developer services and costs
- Compose visual elements and possible designs for the website
