Subject: Research Summary of  Best Practices for Professional Networking on Linked

According to the instruction of the lesson 2.2 assignment, I have researched the 10 best practices for professional networking on LinkedIn. Please see the summary of my research below.

  1. Completing Your Profile. Missing basic information such as a brief introduction, work experience, and education history can give an unprofessional impression to viewers.
  2. Choosing the professional profile picture. Profile picture governs the first impression of the people. Think of it as your business card.
  3. Turning your summary into your story. Tells people about your experience, skills, and interests and why your story stands out among other people.
  4. Expanding your network. Vibrant networking brings more opportunities to you. Connect with various users, people in the same industry, your alumni, or even your role model.
  5. Posting well-written content. Users can recognize your expertise and credential from reading your content.
  6. Requesting for endorsement. Endorsements from other members substantiate your skills and increase your credibility.
  7. Using comments. Comments can show that you have established opinions and can raise your profile across LinkedIn.
  8. Customizing your profile. Memorable background pictures, and personalized URL help people remember your profile.
  9. Creating a concise and readable profile. Concise and easy-to-read profiles make visitors more comfortable reading your profile
  10. Being consistent. Keep posting new content, updating your profile, and networking with people so that users know that you are present.

These 10 strategies will strengthen your LinkedIn profile and help you network using LinkedIn. Thank you for your time in reading this memo, and please contact me if you have further questions about the post.
