Dear Dale,
Thank you for your letter. The Canadians’ are grateful for your patronage over the years and for becoming a season ticket holder for this past season. We too share your disappointment in not catching a foul ball.
Unfortunately, while disappointing, your grievance does not qualify for a season ticket refund under the season ticket’s contract, which I have attached for your convenience. As well, due to government regulations and in the interest of fan safety, we are unable to remove the netting in front of the Section 8 bleachers. I do hope you can see how this is out of our control.
That said, since you are such a loyal fan, we are able to offer you season’s tickets for 2013 at the reduced Early Bird rate of $900 in Section 9, which is historically a much better section for catching foul balls. You can pick up the discount voucher for these tickets along with a bonus gift of a signed game ball from the box office at Nat Bailey Stadium.
We thank you for your understanding and hope you enjoy your ball and watching the Canadians from the Section 9 bleachers next year. The fans in Section 9 are the most cheerful in the ballpark, which should help you stay entertained even if your friend is unhappy.
