Subject: Email Memorandum for Formal Report Proposal on “How to Better Support Note-Takers to Improve Learning Experience for Students at UBC”
As instructed, I have posted my formal report proposal on my team forum for Unit 2, Lesson 1. My formal report proposal on includes the following information:
- A brief overview of the research topic – Explanation on the importance of the note-taking program for learning at UBC.
- A brief explanation of the intended audience – Defining the intended audience for impact and incite change.
- A proposed problem that needs research – Explanation on the lack of resources that are provided to note-takers.
- A proposed solution to mitigate adverse effects – Revising current training/feedback/budgetary resources for note-takers.
- An outline of the research scope – An investigation current quality and ongoing issues with the note-taking program.
- An outline of the research methodology – A description of how the research will be conducted in surveys and interviews.
- A brief explanation of qualifications – I have previous experience working as a note-taker at the Centre for Accessibility.
