Subject: Summary of Formal Research Proposal – Strategies to make meetings efficient in a workplace setting
The formal report proposal is posted on my team’s Write or Flight forum as instructed and is also enclosed below. The proposal includes the following:
Introduction: Background on what causes inefficiencies in meetings, and the purpose of the proposal
Audience description: People that organize meetings in a workplace setting.
Statement of problem: Multiple examples where meetings are inefficient.
Proposed solution: Introduce strategies to prevent inefficient meetings.
Scope of questions: Meeting inefficiencies, strategies to avoid these inefficiencies, impact these strategies have
Methods: survey, observation, and interview people that have worked in a workplace setting.
My qualifications: Multiple jobs where inefficient meetings were rampant every day.
Conclusion: Knowing these strategies would make participants in the meeting save time and resources that could be allocated elsewhere.
