Subject: Formal Report Progress on Implementing Joining Online Waitlists and Viewing Waitlist Times Online at Cactus
Intended Audience:
This report’s intended audience is the CEO of Cactus Club Cafe, Richard Jaffray and the web developers for the company.
Purpose of Report:
The purpose of this report is to address the issue of long wait times at Cactus Club Cafe. Some restaurants have implemented an online check-in that allows customers to view the estimated wait time at that moment and an option of holding their place. This report investigates the wait time problems and how this same system could be implemented on the Cactus Club Cafe website.
Significance of Report:
This report’s importance affects the customers and employees of Cactus Club Cafe. This investigation aims to help save time and effort for customers. With the implementation of an online waitlist system, customers can decide if it is worth it for them to go dine at the restaurant.
Report Objectives:
- To analyze the current wait times at Cactus Club Cafe
- To gain insight into customer and employee opinions
- To assess current customer satisfaction with restaurant wait times
- To gather research on possible solutions that will solve the issues
- To propose a solution to the current problem that is feasible
Research Plan:
To determine the best feasible solution to the current wait times situation at Cactus Club Cafe, I plan to research the following:
- Compose survey questions highlighting the current problem
- Distribute an anonymous survey through social media
- Secondary research through online reviews
- Analyze the data from the results of the survey
- Produce a visual representation of the data through charts and graphs
- Investigate the feasibility of implementing an online waitlist system
- Compile the best mode of approach for customer satisfaction
