My expectations:
As a person who is not strongly good at writing, I am excited to take this course and I hope I could apply the knowledge and skills gained in this course to my future professional practice. My expectations for this course are:
- Master the principles of professional writing and communion, and practice these principles through intensive writing exercises;
- Get familiar with the preparation of a report and put it into practice by both individual work and team collaboration;
- Meet (virtually) and talk to my classmates who are from various academic backgrounds, and learn from each other;
- Get exposed to varieties of career-developing resources available at UBC and utilize them in promoting career development and expanding professional network;
- Build my own professional website and complete my LinkedIn profile;
I am looking forward to this journey with all of you!
