This is my first time creating a Web Folio. In the past years, I have been thinking of creating a portfolio, but I have no idea on how I start. I do not have any content to show my audience the ability that I own. I also do not know the content required for a professional web folio. However, having a portfolio of my past work and experience is very important in the business world. It allows others to have a deeper understanding about me. A proper web folio can help building up a professional image of me which gives me an advantage in competing with other candidates.  With the assignments I did in the English 301 class, I learnt a lot of technical writing skills and templates. Therefore, I believe I am ready to create a portfolio to show my class, future employers and anyone who is interested to know more about me.

The hardest part of creating a web folio is I am not familiar with the interface of the website. I had a difficult time in organizing my work in proper and professional way. A neat and clear web folio would help the readers to focus on the information and would not let the readers get distracted from the other unnecessarily things. However, a web folio with only text might be dull to many of the readers. Therefore, I tried to add some images and hyperlinks for the readers to have easier time to read through all the contents. Building a web folio is not an easy job because it requires a huge amount of effort and time. Especially I am not familiar with how to edit a website which makes it a lot harder for me to finish the web folio.

In my Web Folio, I have to amend all the assignments I have done to make sure my web folio to be professional. It was an easy task for me as my professor and peers have already given me a lot of advice on how to improve my work. I have also added some commentary on my work in order to help my readers to have clearer understanding of what I am presenting.

With the guideline given by Professor Paterson, I am able to create a professional web folio with proper style. It is a very valuable experience for me as I am able to review my work and create a web folio which is very helpful for my future.
