The Task:<\/strong> Design and build a robot capable of navigating a miniature city, identifying and picking up passengers, and dropping them off at the correct location. Navigation of the city was accomplished by following black electrical tape, while passengers and drop-off zones were marked with infrared emitters.<\/p>\n

As we saw it, there were three main challenges to solve:<\/p>\n

  1. Tape following and navigating\u00a0around the course.<\/li>\n
  2. Using infrared to detect passengers.<\/li>\n
  3. Picking the passenger and then dropping it off.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
