This week we started to prepare for data presentation. Each group will come up with a brochure with all the information within each field. This task focuses more on communicating information clearly and effectively to the general public.

Although we are more used to communication solely within the scientific community, as science students, we really started considering good ways of introducing background information towards the general public. More general background information is good, while too much detail can only be tiring. With audiences being the general public, fewer words and more graphs would be visually attractive. Therefore, infographic-style-brochures (posters) seem to be a good way delivering information.

We started exploring online tools such as “Canva” to make infographics with a lot of images and fewer data analysis or explanations. This will surely require an entire group’s focus and collaboration. Hopefully, our results can be a great visual aid for the symphony.
