In general, they teach GIS concepts and demonstrate a wide range of ways that GIS can be used. We want students to gain a broad understanding of how GIS can be applied in the Earth Sciences.<\/p>\n<p>Each module has a short accompanying worksheet. These are designed to help students reflect on the video content. The worksheets also encourage students to think about GIS applications in the Earth Sciences.<\/p>\n<p>We largely avoid giving step-by-step guidance for specific tasks, so that the videos can be used in a range of different courses.
