Inquiry/Goals for the Future

A future goal of mine with education is to best meet the kids where they are at and build their learning experience from this point. Everyone comes to the education process on a unique playing field socially, economically and emotionally. The challenge will be learning how to ascertain the best means of reaching the particular child one is working with. A teacher must be aware of all these levels to effectively develop action plans that are relevant, meaningful and succinct. It is my goal to be able to do this as realistically as possible.
I will continue to create lesson plans that are meaningful and geared towards better understanding the life we have around us.  I will also continue exploring nature, taking field trips and using the objects in the classroom to explore multi-modality learning. The aim will be to be inclusive of the many different kinds of intelligences that exist around me. While some learners may struggle with learning differences others will have exceptional academic gifts, but all will have their own range of intelligence around certain issues. I want each child to be able to find the things they are passionate about and have chances to explore these insights further. To give the child room to expand in the ways that they are actually enthusiastic about. I am eager to continue exploring the benefits of  enrichment groupings, reading powers, DPA, mindfulness techniques and study groups.
The journey of learning will be exciting and awake the child’s latent enthusiasm for living and growing in the world. I think children have a natural enthusiasm and this needs to be tapped into and directed towards the wonderful opportunity that we all have to learn!
