Qualifications:
- Safety training: ACSA’s WHMIS training (2015), OFA Level 1 First Aid, AST 1, and completion of daily field level risk assessments for construction sites
- Completion of university stratigraphy, structural (and advanced structural) geology, sedimentology by May 2017.
- Field mapping experience through university field school
- Leadership skills: Captain of hockey team 2012-2014
- Persistence and dedication: 13 years of competitive hockey, 2015-2016 summer work 70hr/week
- Customer resolution: Dealt with objections of public to city projects and as a referee for 2 years
- Proficient heavy equipment operator
- Competent computer skills include Microsoft Office, Sedlog, Stereonet 7, photo and video editing
Experience:
Wilco Southwest- Landscaping and Civil Construction (Calgary) 2015-2016
- Worked as a team member to complete contracted projects within specific time frames, up to 70 hours and 6 days per week
- Comprehended and applied blueprints for contracted sites
- Contracted sites include: New Brighton Athletic Field Complex, Shouldice Football fields, Haysboro Community Playground, City of Calgary Shepard Waste Management Facility, Aspen show home landscaping
- Effectively addressed objections of general public to specific parks projects.
- Safely operated a sod ripper, topsoil spreader, skid steer, excavator, loader, RTV
- Drove one tonne dump trucks and towed flatbed trailers
- Layed sod, planted trees and shrubs, spread topsoil, mulch etc.
