There are thousands of “Tips & Tricks for Teaching.” Some will work and some will not. It is important to be aware of what tip or trick you are using and why you are using. Before trying just any tip or trick ask yourself: What are my Learning Intentions for my students and how will this allow for better Student Engagement?

Q: How can you ensure ‘sign-up’ for assignments are done fairly?
Tip: Have students sign up for their groups on post-its and place them in a bag. Draw groups from the bag and in that order have them choose which week/assignment/topic they would like.
