Our Associate Director, Scheduling & Student Records, Raymond Kaan recently got married! Our ES Administrative Assistant, Manpreet Virdi, asked Raymond a few questions about his wedding and his new marriage.

How did you meet your wife?

Meghan and I were setup by two friends who thought we’d make a good couple. The initial introductions were made through Facebook (which I never check) but luckily I got a heads up from my friend to check for a message.  From there the rest is history.

Where did you get married? What did you serve the guests?

We got married in what is normally sunny Tsawwassen but on our wedding day it happened to be not so sunny Tsawwassen. Plan B was put into place and we still had a wonderful outdoor ceremony sheltered from the elements.  For dinner we had a buffet dinner and a wedding cake made by Meghan’s mom.

What was your favourite part of the wedding?

My favourite part of the wedding, besides getting married, was our first dance. We took dancing lessons and we danced a waltz!

Are you going on a honeymoon? If so – where?

When this newsletter is published we will probably be on our ‘minimoon’ for a week to Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City. For our ‘majormoon’ we’re hoping to go to Europe next year.

What’s your favourite advice you’ve received from anybody about being newlywed?

Happy wife, happy life 🙂

Congratulations Raymond! All our very best for a long and happy marriage 🙂
