With the recent announcements regarding the mass graves of Indigenous children at residential school locations it is important to understand what it means to support Indigenous students, colleagues and communities. As many of our elders have said in the past weeks, it is time for us to rest and to be gentle with ourselves. There is more to come and it will be a long road ahead. Understanding this message will help us understand how support our Indigenous students and colleagues in a good way. The most important way for allies to celebrate and support, is to learn.

The Centre for Teaching and Learning Technology (CTLT), Indigenous Initiatives Unit, released a statement regarding the mass graves and links to opportunities for continued learning across campus. Their office does amazing work on internal capacity building and making resources accessible. You can find the statement and links here.
