Pink Shirt Day is a global initiative that takes place on February 22nd each year. Its origins date back to 2007, when two students in Nova Scotia, Canada, saw a fellow student being bullied for wearing a pink shirt to school. The two students decided to take action and rallied their classmates to wear pink shirts to school the next day to show their support for the bullied student and to demonstrate that bullying is not acceptable. The story quickly went viral, and Pink Shirt Day was born.

Since then, Pink Shirt Day has grown into a global movement, with people of all ages and backgrounds coming together to take a stand against bullying and to promote kindness and inclusion. Schools, community organizations, and businesses across the world participate in the event, organizing activities, events, and campaigns to raise awareness and encourage people to take action against bullying.
