Who: Ariel Lee
Unit: Student Communications Services
Position: UX (User Experience) Coordinator
Since: November 2017
Professional Background:
I graduated from UBC Science (Cognitive Systems) in May 2017, but have worked as a Communications Assistant for two years in the Faculty of Science, coordinating the student e-newsletter as well as running usability tests on and redesigning the Science undergrad website. I also enjoy designing/developing websites and coordinating print-projects for Vancouver-based organizations on the side.
Personal Background:
My family immigrated from Taiwan to Vancouver when I was three years old, and I can’t imagine living elsewhere (I love Vancouver!). I have three sisters, but zero brothers. Regarding my interests and career aspirations…I have too many that sometimes I wish I were five people instead of one, but personal hobbies include:
- Photography (mostly of photogenic dogs)
- Eating dessert (I’m a huge chocaholic!)
- Video editing
- Music composition
- Thinking about thinking
