A little bit about Hala:
She is UBC alumni with a BA in Family Studies. She went on to do a Master’s at SFU but is very happy to be back on UBC campus. There are many reasons she’s looking forward to being part of the ESP team, but really enjoys working one on one with people and always finds it rewarding when a problem/issue can be resolved.

Hala’s vocational background is in the non-profit sector mainly working to support youth and youth programming.  In her free time, she volunteers on a board for an amazing organization called Watari Counselling and Support Services Society.  As well, she is a mentor for the High School Mentorship program at the YWCA.

In terms of hobbies and pastimes, Hala trains in and teaches kickboxing at Westside Kickboxing.  If anyone is looking for a kick ass workout and a total stress reliever, she invites you to come see her!  She loves travelling to big cities like New York or Paris.  She’s equally as happy on a beach or in a cabin in the woods but does want to see the all the great cities.
