Christmas is always a busy time of hustling & bustling. From Christmas shopping to attending numerous Christmas dinners and parties.
This year, UBCO’s Development and Alumni Engagement team put together a very special UBC Alumni Christmas Luncheon. The intention of this luncheon was for all UBC Alumni that works at UBC Okanagan campus to come together and enjoy lunch together. When I arrived at the event, I was very surprised to find out the number of staff & faculty members who graduated from UBC (some graduated from UBC Vancouver and some from UBC Okanagan). At the event, I had the opportunity to chat with a few people from other departments and it was nice to know more people. As an extra little something, they had this special decorated tree hung with a variety of Christmas cookie ornaments for us to pick & take home. I definitely had a difficult time picking my “special Christmas cookie ornament”.
