\"GradJune 5 and 6 was UBC Okanagan convocation ceremonies, it was an absolutely beautiful two days (not a spot of rain) and we had nearly 1600 students graduate. I know that is small fry compared to the Vancouver campus, but when you think about it, our cozy campus has grown from two to now six ceremonies. In 2006 we only had 468 graduates. Not too shabby, eh!<\/p>\n

Anyway, one of my favourite parts of the day is looking at the shoes. I bet the Shoe Warehouse made a pretty penny. Haha.
\nSeriously though, how the heck do some of those girls make it across the stage without face planting? I think I would wear flats just to be on the safe side.<\/p>\n

\"TerraThis year is special to me because my daughter received her B.A. on June 5th. Yeah Andi!!! 5 years later and you only changed your mind 5 times along the way. Hahaha. No biggie, you are only 22 and tons of excess credit never killed anyone. Now go and save the world or something great like that.<\/p>\n

Oh, and quick tip \u2013 Andi told me that the trick to taking a good selfie is to cut the top of your head off. Is she trying to tell me I have a big forehead or something??? Maybe it\u2019s time for bangs… \u00a0<\/p>\n

Here is a picture of the big guy in regalia (Fred). He is just taking a break from his official duties of the day. Actually, he was looking for lunch. We had pizza.<\/p>\n

\"Fred\u00a0I heard Fred\u00a0mention to Erin that he was going to make casual Friday, regalia Friday (actually I was eves dropping \u2013 don\u2019t tell anyone but I do that sometimes).<\/p>\n

Hmmm, flip-flop girl (me) doesn\u2019t know what to think about regalia Fridays. I think it gets a big thumbs down. Sorry, Fred!<\/p>\n

\"Andrea,Kudos to our Graduation Guru, Andrea on a job well done! You can breathe now girl and look forward to next year. Did you say it was vacation time?<\/p>\n

Oh, and we can\u2019t forget to thank the human pylons, the ES team members in place to keep the procession lines separate. You know how it is\u2014kids just don\u2019t listen, they are too excited and need us to help keep them in order. The show must go on!!\"Jennifer,<\/p>\n
