Please read the information below to ensure that you are prepared for your transition back to campus.<\/p>\n<h2>Health &amp; Safety Considerations<\/h2>\n<p>Enrolment Services and <a href=\"https:\/\/srs.ubc.ca\/covid-19\/ubc-campus-rules-guidance-documents\/\">UBC<\/a> will continue to follow BC Public Health guidelines from the BC Ministry of Health, the Public Health Officer, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/gov\/content\/covid-19\/info\/restart#step-three\">BC Restart Guide<\/a>. When, or if, directives change, we will follow suit.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"bc_h3\">Mask guidance in Step 3 of the BC Restart Guide (current state)<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Masks are recommended in indoor public places\u00a0for all people 12 and older who are not yet fully vaccinated.<\/li>\n<li>Continue to wear a mask until you&#8217;re fully vaccinated, which is 14 days after receiving <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/gov\/content\/covid-19\/vaccine\/dose-2\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">dose 2.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Some people may choose to continue to wear a mask after they&#8217;re fully vaccinated and that&#8217;s okay.<\/li>\n<li>Update: As of August 10, all students, faculty, staff and visitors to UBC\u2019s Okanagan campus are required to wear a mask while in any university indoor common spaces AND in spaces that are high traffic and\/or require close proximity to others.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Step 4 may begin as early as September 7, at which time:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Masks in public indoor settings are a personal choice.<\/li>\n<li>Normal social contact resumes.<\/li>\n<li>Individuals who feel sick should stay at home and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bccdc.ca\/Health-Info-Site\/Documents\/COVID_public_guidance\/When_to_get_tested.pdf\">get tested.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The criteria for moving to Step 4 is more than 70% of the 18+ population vaccinated with dose 1, along with low case counts and low COVID-19\u00a0hospitalizations.<\/p>\n<h3>Office cleaning<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Individuals are responsible for cleaning their workspaces, as this is not done by custodial services. Cleaning supplies are provided.<\/li>\n<li>Custodial services will clean and sanitize common areas in main office spaces, hallways, washrooms, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Keep in mind that the risk of surface transmission is extremely low as COVID is an airborne virus.<\/li>\n<li>More information about building hygiene and maintenance can be found at:\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ok.ubc.ca\/covid19\/operations\/\">https:\/\/ok.ubc.ca\/covid19\/operations<\/a>\u00a0 (Okanagan)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/facilities.ubc.ca\/covid-19\">http:\/\/facilities.ubc.ca\/covid-19<\/a> (Vancouver)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/srs.ubc.ca\/covid-19\/ubc-campus-rules-guidance-documents\">https:\/\/srs.ubc.ca\/covid-19\/ubc-campus-rules-guidance-documents <\/a>(Okanagan and Vancouver)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>In preparation for your return to campus<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"hero-head h1\">Complete the mandatory:\n<ul>\n<li class=\"hero-head h1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wpl.ubc.ca\/browse\/ubcohse\/courses\/wpl-hse-gfsp\">UBC Go Forward COVID-19 Safety Planning Training (Okanagan)\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n<li class=\"hero-head h1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/wpl.ubc.ca\/browse\/srs\/courses\/wpl-srs-gfsp\">UBC Go Forward COVID-19 Safety Planning Training (Vancouver)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>For Vancouver campus staff who took their office chairs home, please <a href=\"https:\/\/ubc.ca1.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_7VCDMbX6RzQkObk\"><strong>complete the chairs inventory survey by August 13<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li>In the <a href=\"https:\/\/canvas.ubc.ca\/courses\/26454\">Remote Work*<\/a> Team Plans pages on canvas, you can find the ES unit-level return and remote work plans, which includes information about your teams plans for technology, space and scheduling for the upcoming months.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>*If you have never logged into the ES Learning Centre, you may need to self-enroll first:<a href=\"https:\/\/canvas.ubc.ca\/enroll\/GFKJD8\"> https:\/\/canvas.ubc.ca\/enroll\/GFKJD8<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>On- and off-campus schedule transparency<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Staff working on the Vancouver campus must continue to record their attendance on <a href=\"https:\/\/confluence.it.ubc.ca\/display\/ESCFOEC\/Office+Attendance+Tracking\">Confluence<\/a> until we move to Step 4.<\/li>\n<li>Okanagan staff should continue to follow your campus-specific protocol.<\/li>\n<li>All staff are to update their Outlook calendar to indicate days working from home (create appointment in Outlook for remote work days, and show as &#8220;working elsewhere&#8221;).<\/li>\n<li>All staff are to put their on\/off campus work schedule in Microsoft Teams status.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Working from home<\/h2>\n<p>All staff who are currently, or will be, working at home alone are required to complete:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>UBC&#8217;s online <a href=\"https:\/\/wpl.ubc.ca\/browse\/srs\/osc\/courses\/wpl-srs-wfh\">Remote Work<\/a> training<\/li>\n<li>A <a href=\"https:\/\/riskmanagement.sites.olt.ubc.ca\/files\/2020\/11\/Working-Alone-Program-2020.docx\">working alone plan<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/riskmanagement.sites.olt.ubc.ca\/files\/2021\/07\/Work-Area-Safety-Assessment-V10-fillable.pdf\">safety assessment &#8211; <\/a><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Speak to your manager if you need support to complete the forms.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We are looking forward to seeing you in real life again soon!
