May we please introduce the creators of the Vygotsky Blog:
Margaret
Margaret Lee has been a teacher for around 20 years. Half the time was in Taiwan and the other half in Canada. She is a certified bilingual teacher (E.S.L and Mandarin).
Andrew
Andrew teaches Social Studies 8 and English 8 at a public school in BC. He has been known to get into arguments with puppets and is no longer welcome at the Jim Henson Exhibit at the Smithsonian. He would like to thank his lovely wife for all she did in the pursuit of the perfect puppet show. Andrew is currently completing his fifth course in the MET program.
Rebecca
Rebecca teaches Grade 5/6 and Learning Assistance at a public school in BC. Vygotsky’s ideas are key in her teaching and learning within this context. She frequently looks to her mentor teachers in the school to help understand and plan for students. Additionally, she will teach lessons to students in depth and then allow them to be the “mentors” within the classroom and share their information with other students.
Thanks for the great site and activities!!!
